Booking your accommodation you’ll have the choice of a twin or double room with en suite facilities for 1-2 people sharing on each retreat.
On arrival you’ll be greeted by the artist and shown to your room where you can freshen up or head straight into the studio to get a feel of the atmosphere and use the materials to make inclusions and textures in glass, these will immediately be placed into the kiln and will be ready to see the following day.
After enjoying a bowl of homemade soup with artisan crusty bread you’ll be guided around the local area where you’ll enjoy the scenery and nature at Lymm Dam, along the Bridgewater Canal and the village to see Lymm Cross where the original sandstone monument dates back to Saxon or even Roman times, this stands in the village centre. You may gather information or design ideas from the afternoon for the following day when you’ll make your masterpieces in fused glass.
You’ll discover an array of restaurants and pubs, cafes and takeaways in within Lymm Village and possibly decide to eat at one of these on the Saturday evening or enjoy a takeaway in the artists home, this is the only meal you will not have provided during your stay.
On the Sunday you will make additional pieces of glass art such as light catchers, coasters, orbs, love tokens. Or you may choose to enjoy the surrounding areas such as Tatton Park, Dunham Massey, Manchester, Liverpool or Chester which are all within 40 minutes by car.
